Ways to Serve

Whether you want to help with the children’s ministry, welcome people on Sundays, or work with students, there are lots of ways to serve both in our church.

Serving is one of the best ways to grow in Christ, and so we hope you will get involved and join a team today!

Children's Ministry

Do you enjoy working with children and want to invest in their spiritual formation? We would love your help! We are looking for faithful people to help in this ministry once every five weeks. You don’t have to have a lot of experience working with kids, all you need is a willing heart that wants to serve Christ by helping children get to know Him.

We need both teachers and helpers to serve in our Children’s Ministry. Classroom teachers lead the children with the curriculum provided. Classroom helpers assist with general classroom management.Contact Tammy

Student Ministry

You don’t need a lot of experience working with teenagers to serve in Shoreline Students. We are looking for people who have a heart for Christ and want to help students grow in Christ during a pivotal time in their lives.

Serving in this ministry involves a weekly commitment to help lead our Shoreline Students meetings every Sunday from 5-7pm. Leaders are asked to arrive at 4:00pm

If you are interested in serving in this ministry please download and fill out this Student Ministry Application. Applications can be returned to the church office or emailed to Brandon Sherr at bsherr@cometoshoreline.com   or (440)363-8407.

Please note that all student ministry volunteers must be at least 21 years old and will be asked to complete a background check.

Meal Train

Jesus said the world will know we are his disciples by our love for one another (John 13:35). Over the years, one of the meaningful ways that members of Shoreline Church have showed our love for one another is by participating in meal trains. When a family welcomes a baby into the world or there is illness or surgery or hardship,  there will be a meal train set up on the online platform, mealtrain.com, and sends a link out to the congregation through the Church Center Meal Train Groups with email announcements. People sign up to bring a dinner, and for a week or two, the family or individual doesn’t have to shop or cook.

Practically speaking, these prepared meals free up time and energy to spend adjusting to life with a newborn or recovering from a surgery or illness. But more than helping out practically, these meals are a reminder that whatever a family or individual is going through, they are part of a larger community that loves them—they are not alone. It feeds the soul as well as the body to be served a meal when you are in a vulnerable place.
