Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us and we are his; we are his people the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with Thanksgiving and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!”

Christmas Eve Service

At this time we are also still planning on holding a Christmas Eve Service on December 24th at 6pm.

Hey Shoreline Kids,

I hope you had a nice thanksgiving! Did you eat too much? Well, hopefully all that thanksgiving food will give you energy for tackling the busyness of December.

Now that Thanksgiving is over, I am thinking about Christmas. It always seems that there is so much to do in the time that leads up to Christmas day. Do you help with the shopping, baking and decorating, adding to all the regular things you need to do?

It can be easy to forget about God when we’re busy. That is why we need to purposely look for God in all that we do every day. Did you know that we can find God in the Christmas Tree? Does your family put one up? It is one of my favorite things to do.  No matter if you have real or fake Christmas tree it usually is some type of a fir tree also called an evergreen tree. The very cool thing about a fir tree is that as long as it’s alive and healthy the needles stay green and it doesn’t lose them the same way as a non-fir tree whose leaves turn brown and drop off in the Fall. In many ways Fir trees never change.

Did you know that God never changes? He is always the same and always there for us. He loved us yesterday and He loves today, and He’ll love us tomorrow no matter what. He is with us during the good and the bad, the easy and the hard things. God’s love for us is unmeasurable. Reflect about Jesus as you put your tree up this year and think about the extent of God’s love for us. He showed us His love by sending His son Jesus down to earth for us. Why did He send Jesus? So that we can be saved and have a relationship with Him. God loves us that much!!! The only reason we celebrate Christmas is because of Jesus. Have a great start to the Christmas season!

Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him would not perish but have eternal life.”
