Halloween Challenge 2019
While Halloween is often associated with death the holiday also provides a unique opportunity to engage our neighbors with the love and life of Christ.
Trick-or-Treating is often the only time of year where our neighbors come to our doors and expect us to come to theirs. This is a great chance to find creative ways to get to know our neighbors.
In light of this, every October we present a challenge for our church: during Trick-or-Treating if you intentionally learn three things about five people you don’t know in your neighborhood, tell us about it, and send us your receipts, then Shoreline will reimburse you for the cost of your candy.
Trick-or-Treating is also a great opportunity to hand out information about our church, including Worship Service Info Cards, which you can find on the Welcome Tables.
We love to see the different ways people creatively use Trick-or-Treating to reach out to their neighbors, so let us know how it goes by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Remember if you tell us three new things you learned about at least five people and send us your receipt we’ll reimburse you for your candy!
